What is the Tunkin Valley?
Tunkin valley is located on the border of Buryatia and Irkutsk region. This place is known to tourists due to the beautiful nature. It offers amazing views of mountains, mounds, forests, lakes and rivers. One of them – Tunka – gave the name of the whole area. Thanks to the found mineral waters and healing mud in the valley there are resorts "Nilova Deserts", "Pearl Sources" and "Arshan". There is also a national park in the valley.
How do you get there?
Tunkinsk valley is located at a distance of 98 km from Irkutsk. From him to the valley leads asphalt road. The resorts can be reached in a few hours. This can be done both by car and by bus. The entire valley can be reached in 5-6 hours. It ends in the village of Mondy on the border with Mongolia.
