Entrance to Jerusalem Church

ooh Revolution fighters, 15, at the intersection of the street. Kommunarov, at the entrance to the Central Park of Culture and Recreation, Irkutsk, Irkutsk region 664003, Russian Federation

Description:

The Entrance-Jerusalem Church is interesting because it is one of the most ancient churches that currently exist in Irkutsk.

Mikhail Sibiryakov in the late 18th century built this church entirely at his own expense. Interestingly, this building was the first stone church in the city.
The church has features in the architecture of classicism. Such a movement is not usual for typical buildings in Irkutsk.
In the 31st century, the church was officially closed. However, it continued its activities in 2013.
