Tour programme

Day 1.

Meals: Dinner.

Meeting at the airport of Irkutsk at 10.00 am at the reference room. A trip to the museum of the village Listvyanka (70 km) along the Angara. The museum will tell you about the uniqueness of the lake and why it is still so clean. Lunch in Listvyanka (time for independent lunch - 1 hour). You can buy salted or smoked fish. We advise you to try omul hot smoking! Transfer to the village of Slyudyanka (2-3 hours) on the road among the mountains and exit to the observation point. From here opens a panorama of the southern part of Baikal. Dinner and overnight at the base. Room (4-5 seats) with facilities on the street. Double room on request (additional payment in advance). Distribution of products and equipment for each participant.

Note: In the event of a delay for any reason, tourists independently catch up with the group. We recommend arriving the day before the tour begins!

Irkutsk - the city originates from the Irkutsk prison, founded by the Cossacks under the leadership of Yakov Pokhabov in 1661.

Listvyanka - it is believed that the settlement spontaneously arose at the very beginning of the 18th century. in 1701-1725 and the first inhabitants were free settlers. Every year thousands of tourists come here from all over the world who want to see the natural wonder of Lake Baikal.

Baikal Limnological Museum - it houses a nerpinarium, contains the most complete information about the nature of Lake Baikal.

Slyudyanka – Be sure to visit the railway station and the mineral museum.

Day 2.

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch for snacks. Dinner.

Breakfast and start walking to the weather station (18 km) on the Hamar-Daban ridge. In backpacks, everyone has personal belongings for 2-3 days (part can be left in the storage room at the recreation center). The first 10 km can be overcome by car (paid separately). The road will pass by a marble quarry (huge pieces of marble lie right on the road), then we will overcome several water crossings. Lunch and snack. Next, on foot and with backpacks, we will go to the Cossack glade or to the weather station along a picturesque path. If you want to go without a backpack and load, you should warn us before the route so that we can hire you a horse or a porter for an additional fee (9 km. from throwing by car on foot with climbing). In the evening, rest, dinner. Overnight in tents (possibly at the recreation center for additional payment).

Day 3.

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch for snacks. Dinner.

Breakfast, take jackets and snacks and begin the ascent to Chersky Peak, with a tour of Heart Lake (4-6 hours). At the same time, we will open an amazing panorama of mountain peaks and surroundings of the Hamar-Daban ridge. On the saddle leading directly to the Peak, you can see how the transparent Heart Lake is located below. Climbing to the top of Chersky Peak (2090), we will see picturesque views of the “Siberian Alps”. The return road lies along the same path where you will return to the tree with offerings for local spirits with colored ribbons or pennies. Lush vegetation, abundance of flowers, makes this place truly beautiful. Lunch. By the decision of the guide (depending on the weather and the strength of the participants) hiking to the waterfalls of the Podkomarnaya River (3-4 hours). Each waterfall is unique and original in its own way. Tent night.

The peak is named after Jan (Ivan) Dementievich Chersky, a scientist geographer who made a huge contribution to the study of Siberia.

Heart Lake is a mountain lake in the form of a heart located under the peak. In sunny weather it is especially beautiful. As some say, if you swim in it, you will surely be lucky in love.

Day 4.

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner.

Breakfast. Down the trail. (18 km to the recreation center). In the backpacks, participants have personal belongings, equipment and snacks. Lunch near the area "cafe", which is located near the river Slyudyanka. The water is clean, transparent and quenches thirst well. Continuation of the descent (in advance, if desired, you can order transport for additional payment to the base). Back to the recreation center. Bath on request (payment on site). On request, an excursion to a private museum of minerals. A unique museum! It is close by, only 200 meters. The museum exhibits more than 10,000 samples from many deposits of the former USSR and from abroad. But, of course, the main value is the magnificent samples of the Slyudyansk deposits. Dinner. Night at the base.

Day 5.

Meals: Breakfast.

Breakfast. Transition to the railway or bus station. Moving to Irkutsk by car (depending on the number of people) or train on a picturesque highway. Arrival in Irkutsk. Obtaining permission for the national park and products for the next part. (It takes about 1 hour). Departure to Olkhon Island as part of the national team (stop MRS). The road goes along the steppe expanses, where the Baikal mountains are visible in the distance. On the way, we will have lunch in the cafe (payment on the spot). Transfer to Olkhon is carried out by public ferry. In case of a huge traffic jam, after moving by ferry, we leave by other transport (usually by UAZ). Transition through the ferry, each participant carries out with his own and group things independently. Accommodation at the recreation center with amenities on the street. (Bases of such a plan as Olkhon, Like Homes, Coast of Hope, etc.) Additional payment for 2-seat is made in advance. Walk to the shore of Baikal and Shamanka rock. Dinner by yourself in any cafe.

Shamanka is one of the nine shrines of Asia. 150 meters east of the Shaman cave on a rock of white marble preserved images of shaman diamonds carved by people of the early Iron Age. Near the Shaman cave on the rocks preserved ancient inscriptions in Tibetan and Mongolian languages. It is clear that this place has long been considered sacred and deserves careful study. In the modern view of some, it is a place of power.

Day 6.

Meals: Breakfast.

Breakfast. A sightseeing trip along Olkhon on UAZ to Cape Khoboy (the territory of the national park). Hoboi is a place of power, a holy place and just a “super” picturesque place in the north of Olkhon Island. From the sea side, the rock looks like a fang and we will see it again, and it also bears a similarity to the profile of a woman, as in ancient Greek galleys. Lunch with the Baikal ear (depending on the season and the availability of fish), very tasty! and our tourists always talk about it with delight! Also, if possible, visit three rocks - three Brothers, a rock where you can ask for children (reminiscent of a woman who lies on an island). There are amazing views of Lake Baikal everywhere. Night at the recreation center of economy class with amenities on the street. Dinner by yourself.

Day 7.

Meals: Breakfast.

Breakfast. Excursions to choose from (for additional payment): Caves, Sacred Stupa or the South of Olkhon. Teams are teams. The whole group needs to decide within the first 5 days.

The caves are closer to lunchtime. Issued waterproof costumes, helmets, flashlights. Be sure to take warm clothes, water, snack. Return to the recreation center in 4-5 hours.

Sacred Stupa - excursion to the island of Ogoi, with a visit to the Buddhist stupa. There you will pass through three stages, past, future and present. You will make a wish that will come true. Dinner at the base on your own.

Day 8.

Meals: Breakfast.

Breakfast. Departure in the team group to Irkutsk. The road to Olkhon and the ferry, as always, do not want to leave! Say goodbye to Baikal! Completion of an active tour to Baikal. We exchange addresses, say goodbye to the guide! Those who wish can continue their vacation at the recreation center.

Upon preliminary request, we book a hotel. In the summer, there may be no free seats on Lake Baikal.
