Tour programme

Day 1.

Meals: Dinner.

Meeting at the airport of Irkutsk at 10 am near the reference room. Trip to the Museum of Listvyanka village (70 km) along the Angara. The museum will tell you about the uniqueness of the lake and why it is still so clean. Lunch in Listvyanka (lunch time - 1 hour). You can buy salted or smoked fish. We advise you to try omul hot smoking! Return to Irkutsk by a familiar road. Transfer to the village of Slyudyanka (2-3 hours) on the road among the mountains and exit to the observation point. From here opens a panorama of the southern part of Baikal. Dinner and overnight at the base. Room (4-5 seats) with facilities on the street. Double room on request (additional payment in advance). Distribution of products and equipment for each participant.

Note: In the event of a delay for any reason, tourists independently catch up with the group. We recommend arriving the day before the tour begins!

 

Day 2.

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch (snack). Dinner.

Breakfast and start walking to the weather station (18 km) on the Hamar-Daban ridge. In backpacks, everyone has personal belongings for 2-3 days (part can be left in the storage room at the recreation center), food for 2-3 days and equipment. The first 10 km can be overcome by car (paid separately). The road will pass by a marble quarry (huge pieces of marble lie right on the road), then we will overcome several water crossings. After a short trip among the beautiful mountains, we have a snack. We take our things and make a walk along the path that surrounds the mountains, on the Cossack glade or to the weather station. If you want to go without a backpack and load, you should warn us before the route so that we can hire you a horse or a porter for an additional fee (9 km. from throwing by car on foot with climbing). In the evening, rest, dinner. Overnight in tents (possibly at the recreation center for additional payment).

The route runs along the mountain river Slyudyanka and is interesting for its unique channel and crystal clear water. Slyudyanka originates about 20 km. from Lake Baikal under the Peak of Chersky and flows through a narrow valley.

 

Day 3.

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch (snack). Dinner.

Breakfast, take jackets and snacks and start climbing Chersky Peak, with a tour of the Heart Lake (about 4-6 hours). At the same time, we will open an amazing panorama of mountain peaks and surroundings of the Hamar-Daban ridge. On the saddle leading directly to the Peak, you can see how the transparent Heart Lake is located below. Climbing to the top of Chersky Peak (2090), we will see picturesque views of the “Siberian Alps”. The return road lies along the same path where you will return to the tree with offerings for local spirits with colored ribbons or pennies. Lush vegetation, abundance of flowers, makes this place truly beautiful. Lunch. By the decision of the guide (depending on the weather and strength of the participants), hiking to the waterfalls of the Podkomarnaya River (3-4 hours). Each waterfall is unique and original in its own way. Tent night.

 

The peak is named after Jan (Ivan) Dementievich Chersky, a scientist geographer who made a huge contribution to the study of Siberia.

 

Heart Lake is a mountain lake in the form of a heart located under the peak. In sunny weather it is especially beautiful. As some say, if you swim in it, you will surely be lucky in love.

Waterfalls of the Podkomarnaya River are amazing in beauty and structure cascades of waterfalls with crystal and pure water.

 

Day 4.

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner.

Breakfast. Down the trail. (18 km). In the backpacks, participants have personal belongings, equipment and snacks. Lunch in an area called a cafe. Continuation of the descent (in advance, if desired, you can order transport for additional payment to the base). Return to base. Bath on request (payment on site). On request, an excursion to a private museum of minerals. A unique museum! The museum exhibits more than 10,000 samples from many deposits of the former USSR and from abroad. But, of course, the main value is the magnificent samples of the Slyudyansk deposits. Dinner. Night at the base.

 

Important! Maybe join from day 5. For those who wish to join from 5 days (Tour 11 days with alloy). Meeting the group from 9 to 10 o'clock. Please take into account the fact that in the first 4 days, the group will already meet, and it will be a little more difficult for you to remember the names of all participants.

 

Day 5.

Meals: Breakfast.

Breakfast. Transition to the railway or bus station. Moving to Irkutsk by car (depending on the number of people) or train on a picturesque highway. Arrival in Irkutsk. Obtaining kayaks, permitting the national park and products for the next part. (It takes about 1 hour). Departure to Olkhon Island as part of the national team (stop MRS). The road goes along the steppe expanses, where the Baikal mountains are visible in the distance. On the way, we will have lunch in the cafe (payment on the spot). Transfer to Olkhon is carried out by public ferry. In case of a huge traffic jam, after moving by ferry, we leave by other transport (usually by UAZ). Transition through the ferry, each participant carries out with his own and group things independently. Accommodation at the recreation center with amenities on the street. (Bases of such a plan as Olkhon, Like Homes, Coast of Hope, etc.) Additional payment for 2-seat is made in advance. Walk to the shore of Baikal and Shamanka rock. Dinner by yourself in any cafe.

 

Day 6.

Meals: Breakfast.

Breakfast. A trip as part of the team to the sacred island of Ogoi with a visit to the Buddhist stupa. You will be informed in advance of the number of the car that will arrive. Sit down and go to the dock. Then by boat to the island. There you will pass through three stages, past, future and present. You will make a wish that will come true. Completion of the dock trip. Independent return to base. Dinner at the base on your own.

 

Day 7.

Meals: Breakfast.

Breakfast. Free day. Excursions to choose from for extra. Payment: Cave, South of the island, etc. The entire list can be found at the base administrator or in the office when booking a tour. You can just relax and walk along the picturesque beach.

In the cave issued waterproof suits, helmets. The cave is located in the Bay of AJ, in it you will find a metro hall, a music hall, stalactites, stalagmites and of course a great mood. You need to book in advance. With small numbers or bad weather, cancellation is possible. A refund is being made.

Dinner at the base on your own.

 

Day 8.

Meals: Breakfast.

Breakfast. Rest on bicycles from morning to evening – ride “independently” along the picturesque shores of Olkhon Island. You can just drive from the base to the beach and back! The day before you will be sent the address where to pick up the bike. Rest on the beach. Buying souvenirs. Bicycle travel at its own pace.

Also, you can take independent bike rides, periodically returning to the recreation center. Bicycles are only taken for the day. Lunch yourself in any cafe in the village, try the local cuisine! After lunch, free time.

Additional excursions can be purchased at the place. Dinner by yourself.

 

Day 9.

Meals: Breakfast.

Breakfast. A trip to Olkhon on UAZika Khuzhir-Uzury-Cape Khoboy - further by ship to the village of Turka. Hoboi is a place of power, and a picturesque place in the north of Olkhon Island. It looks like a fang and we will see it again, and it also bears similarities to the profile of a woman, as in ancient Greek galleys. Moving (boat and transfers are paid extra, guide or transfer). Arrival in the village of Turka or Ust-Barguzin. Night in the village or on the spit.

 

Note: Important! Organizers move across the lake only in favorable weather. In case of adverse weather, the head of the group has the right to deliver the group to Ust-Barguzin by road (800 km).

 

Day 10.

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch for snacks. Dinner.

Breakfast. Ascension to the observation point of the peninsula of St. Nos, (3-4 h. up and 2-3 h. descent) from where an amazing panorama of Baikal, Chivyrkui and Barguzin Bay opens. In small transitions, we climb to the observation point called the Cross. Snack. At the top, a panorama of the bays and Lake Baikal opens. Far in the east are the views of the Barguzin mountains, where even in summer there is snow. Descent from the top of the peninsula (descent in places steep, so you should be careful, following all the commands and recommendations of the guide). Dinner. Night on the shore. This place is very warm water and no wind, so this place is very popular with vacationers on cars.

Note: Each participant must take at least 1 liter of drinking water with them.

 

Day 11

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner.

Early rise. Moving to Chivyrkui Bay. Kayaking. Breakfast. Kayak rafting in the Chivyrkui Bay (Monakhovo – Okunevaya Bay (10 km) or Sorozhye (5 km). Chivyrkui Bay is considered the most picturesque on Baikal. Every island in the bay is a natural monument. The shores of the bay are cut by picturesque sand coves. It is worth watching the dawn! The sun seems to slowly appear because of the Barguzin mountains, which are located on the other side of the bay and are very picturesque. In the snake bay in the bay, there is a hot spring, or rather there are three. Currently, they are made of wooden baths, which can be visited by anyone.

 

Day 12

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner.

Alloying in the Chivyrkui Bay to the Snake Bay (12 km).

Morning breakfast. Transition early in the morning, to hot springs (about 10-12 km). The average speed of the kayak is 5-7 km / h. Kayak rafting is possible for almost anyone, but you should strictly follow all the instructions of the instructor! Special training is not required, but a little physical training is desirable. The beauty of the islands and leisurely rest on various picturesque shores will please you. All nights in tents, there is no civilization around!! Lunch and dinner. Rest on the sand spit. Alloying is carried out only in favorable weather.

 

Day 13

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner.

A spare day in case of bad weather.

In case of good weather in the morning, we go to Okunevaya Bay. We rest all day, sunbathe. Beautiful bay, hidden from the winds. It's a coniferous forest, pure nature. There is a village within an hour’s walk from where you can call home, as there was no communication for two days before. A tourist bath is possible in the camping area.

If the weather is bad on this day, then rest on the spit near the river Krestova. Sandy beach both from the Baikal and near the river. Lunch. Dinner tonight. Tent night.

 

Day 14

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner.

Early rise. Return back along the coast and beautiful cliffs on kayaks towards Monakhovo (12 km). The distance is small, so go slowly, but it will depend on the weather. Baikal is especially beautiful in the hours of dawn. Rock survey, bay. Rest on the sandy shore. Night in the tent. We cook lunch and dinner on a gas stove. In one of the places where parking is allowed, be sure to sit by the fire, look at the stars.

Chivyrkui Bay is located on the territory of the national park. There are many secluded coves in the bay, but unfortunately it is not allowed to stop everywhere, only in specially equipped places. But rafting on kayaks, we will see the maximum number of picturesque places along the way.

 

Day 15. Breakfast. Transition to Monakhovo. Baidarok gathering on the shore. By road, departure to Ust-Barguzin. Lunch at the cafe on the way alone. It is paid directly by participants on the spot. Departure to Ulan-Ude. Completion of the program at 18-19 hours. (possibly later). We recommend planning your departure the next day.
