Ski tour to Baikalsk

Arrival in Irkutsk by morning train or flight. You will be met at the airport (or railway station). After getting acquainted with the guide and getting luggage, we go to the village of Listvyanka. We will move along the shortest road (70 km from Irkutsk, 1 hour on the way), which runs along the bays of the Irkutsk reservoir. Day 1 Sobalina Arrival in Irkutsk by morning train or flight. You will be met at the airport (or railway station). Next, we are waiting for the open-air museum - Taltsy*. After exploring the exhibits of the museum, we will continue our trip to Baikal to the source of the Angara River, the only river flowing from Baikal. A small stop at the observation deck, which overlooks the legendary Shaman Stone - one of the symbols of Baikal. It is time to hear the story of Father Baikal and his daughter Angara. Upon arrival in Listvyanka - accommodation in a private, brick cottage "Nicholas" * in cozy double rooms (comfort in rooms and on the floor). The cottage is located in Chapaev Paddy, in the very center of Listvyanka, not far from the pier. After accommodation, free time, which you can devote to walks on Listvyanka, as well as a visit to the Baikal Ecological Museum (paid separately). Dinner at the cottage, overnight. The Museum of Taltsy is a unique collection of monuments of history, architecture and ethnography of the XVII-XIX centuries. The museum complex recreates four historical and cultural zones of the Baikal region: Russian, Buryat, Evenki and Tofalar. Here everything is real: solid peasant estates, leaf huts, spacious courtyards, barns covered with wide ploughs, utensils and even dog booths. At your service is a living room and dining room, a real Russian bath, traditional cuisine of Baikal dishes, including hot-smoked omul, which will be prepared before your eyes. After an early breakfast and packing - transfer to the marina of Slingshot, from where the hovercraft Khivus will take us to the port of Baikal. Here we are waiting for boarding on the excursion train "Circum-Baikal Express"*. By train we will pass along the southern part of Lake Baikal, right along the coast, with excursion stops and exits accompanied by a guide. In one of the cars there is a bar where you can have lunch or tea. (Lunch on your own, at your own expense) Upon arrival in Slyudyanka, we will visit the building of the station, the only one in the world built of marble. Meanwhile, we are already waiting for a bus that will take us to the city of Baikalsk, where we will be accommodated in comfortable double rooms of a guest cottage. Dinner at the cottage, overnight. Circum-Baikal Railway - built under the last Russian Emperor - Nicholas II, this section of the Trans-Siberian Railway was called the "golden buckle of the steel belt of Russia", since KBZD is a unique monument of engineering architecture. (In terms of the difficulty of performing various kinds of works on 1 km of the track, the BCZhD surpassed all the railways built in Russia and is considered one of the most beautiful railways in the world.) On the current section of the road there are 38 tunnels with a total length of 9063 m, 15 stone galleries with a total length of 295 m and 3 reinforced concrete galleries. Day 3 After breakfast, we go to the ski resort "Mountain Sobolinaya*". Here you can choose your equipment for rent (rental is not included in the cost of the program). You can take both mountain skiing and snowboarding. On the territory there is a bar and a cafe where you can drink hot tea and taste the local cuisine, having lunch between skating. (Lunch by yourself) With the onset of the evening begins to darken and lanterns are lit on the slopes. Special equipment comes to work to prepare the slopes for tomorrow, and our skating for today is finished and we head to the guest cottage. The resort "Mountain Sobolinaya" is one of the largest ski centers in Siberia and the Far East. A variety of slopes, warm winter, a lot of snow, as well as a variety of ski slopes, the location of which is close to the alpine, wonderful views from the mountains - all this attracts many tourists. Skating or snowboarding, you will certainly experience a sense of delight, for which thousands of people from all over Russia gather at the ski resort “Mountain Sobolinaya”. Day 4, 5 After breakfast, we again go to the slopes of the Sobolina Mountains. By prior arrangement with the staff of the rental point, it will be possible to take the same set of equipment with which we skated yesterday. Today we have the same schedule - after lunch, we continue riding. But if you decide to spend the rest of the day entertaining yourself, please! (Dinner is your choice, at your own expense.) The main thing in the evening is to return to the cottage to collect things, prepare for returning to Irkutsk and spend the night. Dinner and overnight at the cottage. The total length of the tracks on Mount Sobolinaya, which you will conquer, is more than 15 kilometers with a difference in altitude of 500 meters. The maximum length of one route is about 2.5 kilometers. To date, all types of ski events can be held in Baikalsk, including high-speed descent. Day 6 Breakfast at the cottage, packing. Today in the afternoon we say goodbye to Baikal and go back to Irkutsk. Lunch yourself, at your own expense, at your choice. Before lunch, those who wish will be able to continue riding on the slopes of Mount Sobolina. Bypassing the already familiar Slyudyanka, along the Moscow highway we move to the southern point of Baikal - the village of Kultuk (1.5 hours - 90 km). On the way, we will make a stop on the serpentine, from where a magnificent view of Baikal opens. Here, those who wish can taste delicious Baikal fish (omul, sig, harius) of various preparations. After a short stop, continue the trip to Irkutsk. Soon the Slyudyansky district will end and Shelekhovsky, named after the Russian explorer and scientist Grigory Shelikhov, also known for its winding passes, will begin.
