1 DAY

The road to Olkhon.

Upon arrival in Irkutsk, a journey begins to the heart of Lake Baikal – Olkhon Island.

Olkhon is truly unforgettable and one of the most famous places on Baikal, which is rightly called a place of power and especially powerful energy! Olkhon is considered a sacred territory, the concentration of shamanism in Central Asia. It is visited by pilgrims from all over the world.

You will leave Irkutsk approximately at 10 am. The path will run through the area with picturesque views. Partly the road will pass through the Tazheran steppes, here and there decorated with rock remains. Guests often call this section of the path "Martian". The landscapes really take you to some kind of alien reality!

Olkhon is an island, and they come to it in winter, crossing the ice crossing. After the crossing, you will find about 40 km along the steppes of Olkhon, and then you will get to the center of the island - the village of Khuzhir.

In the evening you have free time, which you can spend exploring the surroundings of the village. At sunset, it is ideal to go to one of the most mysterious and recognizable places on Olkhon - the Shamanka scale. Cape Burkhan and Shamanka Rock are among the attractions of the Baikal National Park. Tourists note the energy of the place ringing in the air, you feel it with your skin and it is difficult to find words to express delight! 2 DAY

Excursion to the north of Olkhon to Cape Khoboy.

Today you will plunge even more into the atmosphere of Lake Baikal.

After breakfast, you go on a tour. Today you will find a real adventure on the legendary Baikal ice. You will go to the northern part of Olkhon, see from the ice the outlines and amazing images of Olkhon rocks, marble walls of Cape Sagan-Khushun. The longest time you will spend at Cape Khoboy - its rocky steep banks in these places resemble animal fangs, which absolutely emphasizes the name (from the language of the local population the name translates as "fang"). From the ice, the outlines of the cape resemble the figure of a woman - this is associated with an interesting local legend, which you will be told during the excursion.

In the middle of the day you will have a picnic lunch in the fresh air, surrounded by the winter Baikal beauty of nature.

The tour takes place with stops in the most beautiful places where you can take beautiful photos. On this day you will be able to shoot ice grottoes and caves, bizarre views of amazing sokui will amaze you!

Returning to the hotel, you will have a free evening.

Depending on the ice situation, an excursion to the north of Olkhon on the ice will be replaced by a tour on land, that is, the movement will be on the ground without leaving for the ice. All designated locations will be visited. The difference is only in the review – from the ice, tourists watch the capes from below, walk on ice, on land – before the eyes of tourists, pictures of the vast Baikal from above open up.

Farewell to Olkhon.

On this day, our amazing trip to Olkhon comes to an end. In the morning, you will have breakfast and the opportunity to take a final walk in Olkhon. In the morning, leave for Irkutsk, where tomorrow your adventure to Buryatia to the mountains of the Eastern Sayan will begin.

If you wish, you can extend your unforgettable trip to Olkhon and add a tour of the south. You will visit one of the most beloved tourist places on Lake Baikal - on the island of Ogoi. Travel to Arshan. Visiting the hot springs in Pearls.

Today begins a fascinating journey to the mountains of the Eastern Sayan.

You will go in the morning from Irkutsk to the Republic of Buryatia to the mountains of the Eastern Sayan and the village of Arshan, sheltered at their foot. The path will run along a picturesque road, framed on the right hand by a string of powerful and majestic mountains, at the foot of which a plain spreads, here and there decorated with villages. To relieve fatigue after the road, on this day you will be offered a visit to the hot springs in Pearl, which is very close to Arshan. These thermal springs were discovered in the middle of the last century, and experts of the Biological Institute proved that the water there has healing properties. The unique properties of water have a beneficial effect on the body and health, so visiting hot springs is one of the favorite ways for tourists to relax and fill the body with strength. Hot healing springs take guests all year round, but in winter it is especially pleasant to swim in them: around the winter cold, but in hot springs comfortable and pleasant. After swimming, you will go to Arshan for settling in and rest, and tomorrow you will have a tour of the sights of Arshan.

Sightseeing tour of Arshan.

After breakfast, you will go on a tour of Arshan, which will be led by an experienced guide.

You will go to the cozy waterfalls sheltered in the mountains, artistically bound by ice in winter, walk along the trail along the picturesque gorge. Visit the local Buddhist temple-monastery of Hoymor Datsan “Bodhidharma”, located on a truly magical place, bearing the name “Saint Polyana” among centuries-old cedars with flappy branches: snow-capped peaks of mountains adorn the background, and snow-covered trees give a feeling of getting into a fairy tale.

Also today you can visit the local market with Siberian goods (herbs, nuts, souvenirs) - here they are presented in great abundance.
