Tour programme

Day 1.

Meals: Self-sufficient

We meet at 09:00 at the airport. Irkutsk near the reference (request to arrive in advance, because flights are delayed). Getting on the bus and going to Olkhon Island (takes about 5-6 hours). A minibus ride. For small groups of up to 6 people, only accompanied by a driver. Technical stop on the way to the cafe, lunch (at your own expense). We're stationed at the base in p. Khuzhir depending on the chosen option (for example, tourist centers: Olkhon, Olkhon Inn, Flagman, Tengari, etc.). Rest and a small tour of the village and to the rock of Shamanka. The village of Khuzhir is located next to the famous Cape Burkhan, immediately behind it is the magnificent sandy beach of Saray Bay. Since ancient times, the rock is considered a sacred place, covered with secrets and legends. Dinner on our own at the café.

Note: In the event of a delay for any reason, tourists independently catch up with the group. We recommend arriving the day before the tour begins!

Day 2.

Meals: Breakfast. Lunch.

Breakfast at the camp and go on a trip on UAZ high-traffic vehicles (country roads), to the northernmost point of the island - Cape Khoboy. The island is considered a sacred place. During the trip you will see almost the entire island, nature, rocks, the shore of the Small Sea, etc. Cape Khoboi (in Buryat oboe - "fang, molar tooth") is a spectacular column-shaped rock, resembling an externally sharp fang, from the sea, has a pronounced similarity to the profile of a woman's head with a bust, as in ancient Greek galleys from the east and west. We take gorgeous photos not only of the Small Sea, but also of the open Baikal, from where you can see the deepest point, the Holy Nose and the eastern shore (in good weather). We dine there on Hoboya and return to the evening. Dinner at the cafe on your own. If you plan to book excursions on free days, it is better to do it in advance.

Day 3.

Meals: Breakfast.

Today, according to the free day program and after breakfast, you can walk near Lake Baikal to listen to the music of the waves, go on excursions or sunbathe in the Sarai Bay, if desired, you can visit the local museum of Revyakin, ride bicycles, order fishing, excursions, rental of quads and scooters, a water excursion to the island of Ogoi or to the South of the island, walk along the ecological trail, etc. It is advisable to book excursions or when buying a tour in the office or on the first day of arrival to the island, there may not be enough seats at the peak of the season. We have lunch and dinner at the café.

Day 4.

Meals: Breakfast.

Breakfast, gather and leave Olkhon Island to the city of Irkutsk. Departure time is reported the day before (approximately from 8.30 to 10.00 hours). Moving by minibus in the national team from other tourist centers. For small groups of up to 6 people, only accompanied by a driver. During the transfer, we dine in a roadside cafe (pay independently). In Irkutsk, we are accommodated in hotels or hotels according to the selected categories of rooms. Rest and in your free time you can take walks around the city, along the embankment of the Angara River. We advise you to visit the 130th quarter, restored and restored according to sketches of 65 buildings. Eight of them are real monuments of architecture, other stylization. This is a unique project, which other cities are guided by, restoring the history of artisans and merchants. Dinner by yourself.

Day 5.

Meals: Breakfast.

After breakfast, a sightseeing bus tour of the city (duration about 1.5 hours). Be sure to visit the historical center and drive near the Irkutsk HPP. In the sightseeing tour of the Church of the Exaltation of the Cross, the monument to Alexander III, the monument to Admiral Kolchak, the House of Europe (the house of the Shastins) is an example of Siberian Baroque. Then we go along the Baikal road to the village of Listvyanka. In the village we visit the Limnological Museum of Baikal, where scientists work on the study of the lake. Lunch and dinner on your own. Listvyanka is the nearest village from Irkutsk on Lake Baikal. Return to Irkutsk.

Day 6.

Meals: Breakfast.

Today, take a very interesting tour of the Circum-Baikal Railway. Early breakfast, transfer to the starting point of the tour (railway station or in the center of Irkutsk). Preliminary report. Get on the bus and go on an excursion that has no analogues in the world. The railway runs along Lake Baikal (85 km). This road in the past was part of the Trans-Siberian Railway, a monument of engineering art, one of the picturesque sights of the Baikal region. Until the middle of the XX century, the main course of the Trans-Siberian Railway passed along the Circum-Baikal Railway, but later a backup section from Irkutsk to the southern tip of Lake Baikal was built, and the western section of the Railway lost its former importance. Monuments of engineering art have been preserved throughout it (tunnels, galleries, waterways, etc.). We meet after the excursion at 21-22.00 hours, transfer to the hotel.

Day 7.

Meals: Breakfast.

Completion of the program. After breakfast, leave the hotel on your own.
