In 1696 a stone Transfiguration monastery was built, in the XVIII century a refectory was added to the church. In 1770, the bell tower was erected, which was converted in 1821. In 1838, the building was attached to the western part of the bell tower - the house church of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God.

In the nineteenth century, in its second half, the flowering of the monastery comes, during the administration of the abbess Emerentian. A school and workshops are opened, a cell building with a church is being built in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “In sorrows and sorrows, consolation.”

After 1917, the monastery was closed. Most of its buildings are adapted for housing, the bell tower and fence are dismantled. Today, life in the monastery has been restored, the Transfiguration Church is open for worship, the bell tower is fully restored.
