About the company:

The Literary Museum of A.S. Green, an outstanding Russian writer, is the only one in Russia. The museum is located in a building built on the site of a wooden house in which the writer lived at the time of his childhood.

Opened on August 23, 1980, to the 100th anniversary of the writer’s birth. One-storey stone house with mezzanine belonged to the peasant A.G. Morozov. Currently, the building is recognized as a monument of history and culture of federal significance.

The exposition of the museum tells about the life and creative path of A.S. Green. The main idea of its authors was the desire to show the origins of the writer’s work, the spiritual formation of the personality. A great place in the exposition is given to the childhood years of the future writer, held in Vyatka.

In the "children's" and "living room" recreated typical for the family of an ordinary employee environment, which presents authentic and memorial items from the Grinevsky family: furniture, dishes, cooking, a book intertwined by Alexander Green, a jasper stone, brought as a gift to his father.

The exposition “The Life and Work of A.S. Green” tells about the world of hobbies, interests, difficult years of wandering and the writer’s work. The central place in the exposition is given to the extravaganza “Scarlet Sails” – a work that has become a classic of romanticism in domestic literature.
