About the company:
The beginning of the 50s of the twentieth century was marked by the rise of the local history movement of schoolchildren and the creation of school museums. One of the first museums appeared in Kyknur school. Due to the fact that local residents began to visit it, the question arose about the creation of a collective farm museum of local lore. By the decision of the executive committee of the Yaransky District Council of Workers’ Deputies in coordination with the board of the Kiknur collective farm, the museum was provided with a separate building in the center of the village on Cooperative Street (now Lenin Street). Thus, on July 3, 1960, the school museum was reorganized into the Kyknur Kolkhoz Museum, and later into the Kyknur Regional Museum, which worked on a voluntary basis. The governing body of the museum was the Council, which consisted of 15 people. It consisted of heads and specialists of the district kolkhozes, editorial offices of the district newspaper, teachers, local historians, students, pensioners. The organization of the museum in the area aroused great interest in studying the history of the native land. What was the exposition of the museum in the 60-70s?
The museum had more than 4 thousand exhibits, the exposition consisted of six departments:
— “Nature of the local region”; — “History of the pre-revolutionary past of the native land”; — “October and the Civil War in our region”; — “Our region during the construction of socialism (1921-1941)”; — “Our countrymen in the battles for the Motherland during the Great Patriotic War”; — “Kiknur district in the struggle for the rise of agriculture, local industry and culture (post-war period)”.
