About the company:

After the October Revolution of 1917, the house of General Abrezov was nationalized. First there was a hostel in the mansion, then apartments. During the Nazi occupation in 1942, the German headquarters Bergman. In the postwar years, Chaliapin’s dacha became a dining sanatorium, a carpentry workshop, an accounting and a warehouse of building materials. From the former situation in the house, fireplaces created according to the sketches of Nicholas Roerich, interiors with paintings by Konstantin Korovin have been preserved. Despite a long period of timelessness, the main thing is preserved in the mansion - the spirit of the early twentieth century.

In 1982, restoration began in the building, and in 1988 the museum was opened. And the museum, and later the street on which the mansion is located, was named after Fyodor Chaliapin. The museum has a memory room for the singer: documents and books, a collection of records and photographs. Among the most valuable exhibits is the piano, which 12-year-old Fedya Chaliapin received as a prize at the music competition. The daughter of the singer Marina, learning about the opening of the exhibition, gave the museum personal belongings of his father. Son Boris Chaliapin presented his paintings. During the tour of the halls, creating the atmosphere of that time, the voice of the great opera performer sounds.

Every year, almost a quarter of a century, since 1990, music lovers collect the Chaliapin seasons. Both recognized masters of the opera scene and young performers perform. The museum cooperates with artists of the Kislovodsk Philharmonic. Twice a week there are literary and musical programs. There are Russian and foreign romances, arias from operas, once brilliantly performed by Chaliapin himself.
