Kolomna stone-brick Kremlin - a remarkable monument of architecture and fortification - was built in six years. It began to be built on the orders of the Grand Duke of Moscow Vasily III in 1525. The territory of 24 hectares occupied by the Kolomna Kremlin was surrounded by walls about two kilometers long, 16 towers stood along the perimeter, three of them had pass gates.
