Meet Kolomna Posad!

One of the amazing places of the ancient city of Kolomna is Kolomna Posad. Posad is primarily a trade and craft part of the city, which is widely spread outside the walls of the Kolomna Kremlin. Posad - the territory, which the city grew, where "boiled" the city market - shopping arcades and shops, as well as craft settlements. It was inhabited by Posadsky: artisans, merchants, burghers, service and guild people, who from the XVII century were attributed and assigned to their slobodkas. The center of the city life was the shopping area. Then the slobodies diverged from her, smoothly flowing into one another. Today, Kolomna Posad is an ancient majestic temples located in a picturesque and quiet part of the old Kolomna, one- and two-storey brick-wooden houses that circled the streets leading directly to the Kolomna Kremlin, as well as many small museums.
