Russia, Moscow region, Ozersky district, village Sennitsa-2
Description:
The estate of Sennitsa is an architectural monument of federal significance. It was built in the late XVIII - early XX century in the village of the same name in the Moscow region. The history of the estate was associated with the princely Gagarin family.
However, after the October Revolution in 1918, the family estate was nationalized, which negatively affected its condition. Over time, the palace came into disrepair and was destroyed, then the temple of the Ascension of the Lord was partially demolished, located on the territory of the estate. Some of the valuables were looted and some were moved to the country’s museums. Currently, the estate of Sennitsa is the ruins of a church, some outbuildings and a water mill.
