The sculpture, towering today in the station square, was cast in 1958 for the World Brussels Exhibition. The monument was to become part of the sculptural composition "Worker and Collective Farm Woman", which was exhibited in the Soviet pavilion as a symbol of the workers' and peasants' state. In 1967, on the 50th anniversary of the revolution, the monument was transferred to the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Combine, on the territory of which it was located for the next three years. Then the current name of the sculpture appeared, which became a symbol of representatives of the fiery profession. Since 1970, the monument is located on the Station Square.
