Mariinsky Museum of Local Lore
About the company:
Local history museums on a voluntary basis began to be created by enthusiasts, amateur local historians and in schools. This also happened in Mariinsk. Back in the 20s, a local history museum was created in Mariinsk. Rather, it can be called a museum room. He was in the People’s House on the banks of Kia.
In the state library named after Lenin there is a one-day wall newspaper "First May" - an edition of the Mariinsky district committee of the RCP (B) dated May 1, 1921. There is a little information in it: “Narobraz together with the econot and the Uezzemot department is working to open a district museum. Exhibits are being collected.”
In the Siberian Soviet Encyclopedia, information is given that on May 1, 1930, a museum operated in Mariinsk. In the Kemerovo Regional Archive, documents were found indicating that the Mariinsk Museum was opened in 1923-1924. In the "List of institutions of the Mariinsky Ukpolitprosvet" with the designation of employees in it under paragraph 3 is "the museum, head of the Onchukov Museum M.I.". The second document, the Charter of the Mariinsky People’s House (M.U.N.), also states that there is a museum in the city.
The document for 1923-1924 gives information about the exhibits stored in the museum:
- iron things - arrowheads, axe and saber;
- copper - pot and spearhead;
- clay - shards from pots with a linear ornament;
- bone parts of the skulls of men, women and a child;
The stones are a little god.
- glass - earrings female on the wire.
There is no committee for the preservation of monuments of art, antiquity and nature. The head of the museum conducted one study of mounds and settlements on the river. Chulym within Cherdatsky volost, found objects brought to the museum. There were cases of predatory unauthorized excavations, measures to stop them were taken through the police.
For some reason, the museum disappeared. But the inquisitive thought of local historians did not give rest, I wanted to create a museum in Mariinsk. Often in the local press spoke on the history of the city and the district amateur local historians Lapkin F.S., Tekutiev M.T., Shitik P.M. and others. In schools, private individuals accumulated local history material.
In 1936, the House of Pioneers and Schoolchildren was opened, in the same building where the House of Children’s Creativity is now located, but it did not even have a local history corner. In the 50s in Kuzbass, tourist and local studies work among schoolchildren was developed. The House of Pioneers is actively involved in this exciting business.
In 1957, the tour organizer in the House of Pioneers, and then its director was Lapkin Fedor Stepanovich, and he joined in this work.
At the House of Pioneers and some schools of the city and district, local lore corners began to be created, and then rooms. Thus, at school No. 45, a room-museum is created under the guidance of biology teacher Irina Yakovlevna Neufeld, at school No. 1 (the school was such on K.Marks street) under the guidance of geography teacher Nikolai Dmitrievich Kornetskogo, in Malopeschanskaya, Suslovskaya schools and others.
Under the pennant of the DPS and under the leadership of the director of the regional museum, and now academician Anatoly Ivanovich Martynov, archaeological excavations of ancient mounds and settlements along the banks of the Kia River, in the Shestakovo, Mikhailovka, on Archekas, in the area of the meat processing plant on the shore of the Duhaninsky Lake were organized for 6 years by students of the school. The most active participants were young local historians from the circle of DPSH under the leadership of Lapkin F.S.
Along with archaeological expeditions, local historians conducted searches on ethnography, the history of the civil war, met with noble people. For 3 years, a local lore room was created in the House of Pioneers, and since 1961 it began to receive visitors, first students came to the excursion, then students, parents of students visited. Gradually, local lore material was accumulated, great help in the manufacture of stuffed animals, birds was provided by Baukhnik Johann Iozefovich.
