During the tour we will get acquainted with the main world religions: Buddhism, Orthodoxy, Catholicism and Islam. We will visit the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Small Georgian Street, the Cathedral Mosque on Mira Avenue, the center of Buddhism on Petrovsky Boulevard and learn how these religions differ from each other, as well as how they are similar.
We will learn about the architecture of religious temples, the rules of their construction, the internal and external decoration of these buildings, the purpose of religious objects in them. Also, at your request, we can visit the Church of Evangelical Christians - Baptists, the Moscow Choral Synagogue, the Lutheran Church of Peter and Paul, the Roman Catholic parish of the Immaculate Conception. Did you know that Basil and Alexander Pushkin were baptized in the same church? Do you know where Queen Irina Godunova went with prayers for fertility? Where was Princess Tarakanova kept and buried? As a bonus, we can visit these places. You will learn about the wheel of Samsara, why an organ is banned in a Catholic church, why there are no icons in the mosque. This tour is especially recommended for schoolchildren, as well as for anyone interested in the history of religion.
