The Annunciation Monastery is an Orthodox male monastery in the city of Murom. According to legend, the Annunciation Monastery is located on the site of a wooden church “at the court” of Prince Constantine, who baptized Mur. The monastery was founded in the XVI century by order of Tsar Ivan the Terrible. This reminds a small crown over the cross of the central dome of the Annunciation Cathedral.
