This museum is one of the few literary museums of the young written peoples of Russia.
The range of materials presented in it is very wide - from folklore to materials of literary figures of modern Kabardino-Balkaria; from folk storytellers to laureates of State and republican prizes: A. Keshokov, K. Kuliev, Z. Thagazitov and classics of Kabardian and Balkar literature: B. Pacheva and K. Mechiev. The exposition also reflects connections with figures of Russian culture and literature: A. Pushkin, M. Lermontov, B. Tolstoy, composer Taneyev, Balakirev, etc.
