Memorial House-Museum of Marco Vovchok

Marko Vovchok Memorial House-Museum is the only museum of a famous Ukrainian writer in Russia and the near abroad. The museum is housed in the house where the writer lived the last two years of her life (1906-1907). The exposition presents personal belongings, books belonging to Marco Vovchok, documents, photographs reflecting her close ties with Pisarev, Turgenev, Shevchenko, Chernyshevsky, Hugo, Dumas and others. On the territory of the estate is the grave of M. Vovchok (here she is buried according to her will). The house was built in 1906 and is an architectural monument of urban planning of that time, in particular, in the resort town near Nalchik - in Dolinsk in the early twentieth century.
