Perm Zoo

Perm Zoo is a unique institution that plays a huge social role in the life of the city. The zoo with an area of 2 hectares was opened in 1933 in the historical center of Perm.

In 2011, the Perm Zoo had more than 425 species of animals, including 198 species listed in the Red Book. 202 species of animals in the zoo breed, which indicates the natural conditions of their life in the zoo. The zoo also breeds such rare species as polar bears and others.

A children's playground is available at the zoo in the summer, where curious children can learn more about animals and their lives. In the contact sector, they can communicate with lambs, rabbits, chickens and other animals. There are also attractions here.

The zoo often holds various holidays, competitions, excursions, environmental and charitable events for visitors.
