mount Kolpaki, Europe-Asia stele

Caps are low, but beautiful rocks that rise on the border of Europe and Asia, near the border of the Perm region and the Sverdlovsk region.

The shape of the rock remains resemble hats-caps, for which they got their name. The height of Kolpaki Mountain is 614 meters, and the height of the rocks reaches 20 meters.

On the Kolpaki there is an equipped observation deck, which offers excellent views of many tens of kilometers around, including the mountains of Kachkanar and Basegi. It was on this observation deck that Kolpakov filmed one of the scenes of the documentary 4-series film by Alexei Ivanov and Leonid Parfenov “The Ridge of Russia”.

During our journey:

Visit the Mining Museum of Local Lore, which will tell us the history of gold mining in these places;

We will make a short and simple climb to the Kolpaki mountain and from the observation deck we will be able to enjoy the beauty of the vast Ural expanses;

We will go to Asia, imprinting ourselves at the famous stele on the border of parts of the world;

✔ and, most importantly, get acquainted with the history of the first diamond found here in Russia and find out who of the great Russian writers devoted part of his work to this unique area.
