Stone heroes Polyud and Vetlan

Description:

Polyud and Vetlan are two handsome heroes, two brothers, two rocks, two mountains, two legends...

Polyudov stone is one of the most picturesque landscape attractions of the Perm region! From the top of the Polyud opens a fantastic panorama of Ural Parma. Here you feel like a winner, the lord of forests, mountains and rivers, and it seems you can reach the sky with your hand.

The height of the Polyud 527 meters above sea level is the highest point of the Polyudov Ridge. According to legend, Polyud is the name of a strong hero (or giant), who lived in the distant past in the Visher land.

Vetlan is almost a steep system of high rocky cliffs, and is located on the opposite bank of the Visher River. Vetlan stone is powerful, high and elongated (almost 2 thousand meters along the river, the height of the rocks reaches 100 meters).

From the top of the stone Vetlan offers an insanely beautiful view of the river and the surrounding area. I want to open my wings and fly like a bird! On Vetlan, truly breathtaking, and after a difficult climb, you also feel like the last hero!

Also visible from the top of Vetlan his brother - Polyud on the opposite bank. But from the Polyud you can not always see Vetlan. Only if the weather is lucky and the clouds spread.

With these places is associated a beautiful legend about the heroes Polyud, Vetlan and the beautiful Visher. We will tell you about it on the spot!

From the mountain in the middle of the riverbed of Vishera by the stone Vetlan we will see a whole chain of man-made islets - the remains of the robes. They are wooden logs with a sharp end to meet the current, filled with pebbles and standing on sandy islets in the middle of the river. They were created in the most difficult conditions repressed in the 1920-1930s. These islets served to divide the river into two channels to control the mole alloy. Trees for mole alloy for the needs of the Krasnovishersky Paper Mill were also harvested by the prisoners of Visherlag. One of them was the writer Varlam Shalamov.

A trip to Vetlan and Polyud is the most popular weekend route in the Perm Territory. It is beautiful here at any time – both in winter and in summer.

If you want to see the real Ural mountains and rivers, recharge with the energy of nature, reboot, for real, then this is the place for you!

Always welcome and waiting for you!
