Visit to the Stone City

Stone City has the status of a landscape monument of nature of regional importance. In 2018, it became part of the Permsky Natural Park. In addition, in 2019, scenes of the film based on the novel by Alexei Ivanov “Heart of Parma” were filmed on the territory of Stone Town. This place can also be seen in the film The Last Bogatyr. "The Root of Evil" and "Territory." Moreover, the program provides for a visit to the observation deck "White Stones" from where panoramic views of the Basegi Ridge open.

08:00 – Group gathering and departure to the Stone City tract. On the way we stop at the observation deck “White stones”, where in good weather the Basegi Ridge is visible.

12:00 – 15:00 – Visit to the Stone City.

Stone Town is a bizarre rocky weathering remains located on the southern top of the Rudyansky Spoy ridge. This ridge stretches from south to north for about 20 km. The height of the top of the Stone Town reaches 526 m. The rock massif is composed of fine-grained quartz sandstones of lower carbon dioxide. They are part of the coal-bearing thickness that formed in the delta of a large river several hundred million years ago. Then this river flows into the Perm Sea. Over time, frost, wind and temperature changes have done their job – the bizarre remains of Stone City have formed. General trekking along the equipped bus-stone city-bus trail 3 km. (about 1 hour) + inspection of rocky remains. There will also be time for a snack on your own (don’t forget to bring a snack for lunch!)
