Perm

Stroganov patrimony (Ilyinsky, Chermoz)

Description:

In addition to Usolya in the Urals, there is another "capital" of the Stroganovs - the village of Ilyinsky 100 km north-west of Perm on the shore of the Kama reservoir at the mouth of the Obva. The sights of Ilyinsky tell about the life of the cultural center of the Perm province during the XIX century. Once this small town was the center of all the Stroganov lands in the Kama region.

In 1747, the unprofitable salt fields were sold out, and the Stroganovs became only one of five owners. Usolye from the center of the Stroganov patrimony became the administrative center of salt fisheries, and in 1771 Alexander Stroganov moved the Ural residence to the village of Ilyinsky.

Ilyinsky is associated with the “golden autumn” of the Stroganovs, in whose hands no longer rotated mad capital, but remained acquired over 300 years of wealth and honor. And Ilyinsky himself is unlike the Ural settlements - it is a quiet and poetic town around the count's estate.

The village of Ilyinsky in the Perm Territory is one of the most beautiful settlements of the Kama region, and most importantly, it is here that the atmosphere of that distant time has reached our days.

Our tourist route will run along the so-called green line, walking along it we will see:

  1. Management of Perm estates Stroganov
  2. House of managers of Perm estates Stroganov (forest museum)
  3. Garden at the house of the manager of Perm estates in Ilyinsky.
  4. The house of Prince Golitsyn, built in 1823 according to the project of Voronikhin, the architect of the Kazan Cathedral.
  5. The Annunciation Church, built in 1839.
  6. Refectory of the Ilyinsk Church, 1775,
  7. The Chapel of St. Elijah,
  8. House Teploukhov, built in 1829,
  9. The garden of the house of the heathen,
  10. Monument to the Stroganov family, 2007, with the motto of the Stroganov family "Earthly riches to the Fatherland, Yourself - the Name", etc.

Well, Chermoz, which is located a little further than Ilyinsky, will impress no less.

The first mention in historical sources of Chermosis as a settlement was in 1701.

The historic city preserves its traditions of hospitality. The factory-town of the times of first the Stroganovs, and then the princes of the Lazarevs, who built the factory settlement from 1778, has remained in its former layout to this day.

The main attraction of the city is the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God, with a lunar calendar and a chime clock, which is older than the existing Moscow one by 3 years. Architect I.M. Podyachev, 1829.

Being in Chermosa, we will definitely walk through the linden garden of the early XIX century, which has retained its charm and now we will sing in the Lord’s Rotunda (1815), we will be surprised by its incredible acoustics.

From the rotunda, we will have a magnificent view of the Chermoz Pond, the largest in the Urals, the mirror of which is 28 square kilometers.

After traveling along this route, you will understand why, exactly, these places Stroganov chose for his life! Picturesque nature, tranquility, beauty, floodplain Obvinsk and Kama meadows, the desire to live and create - all this, here in Ilyinsky, which so carefully keeps a rich history of incredible life.
