Usolye-Eagle-Pyskor
Description:
I invite you to visit the Ural Venice.
Kama spared unique monuments, but surrounded with water. Here's Venice! Usolye is a small city in the Perm region, famous for its unique architecture of the XVII - XIX centuries. Usolje was called Venice on the Kama for the fact that between wooden houses had to swim in boats in the flood - the buildings were too low. In Usolye we will visit the Stroganov Chambers. We will admire the bell tower, the cathedral and the chapel of Savior Ubrus.
Next we'll visit the Eagle Town. Be sure to look into the Church of the Blessed Virgin in the Baroque style, built in the early 18th century. It's a functioning temple. Very beautiful, crowned with a dome with an octagonal lantern, completed with an openwork metal cross, it stands on the banks of the Kama. On the iconostasis you can see ancient icons of Stroganov’s writing. On the banks of the Kama there is a monument to Yermak, as a sign that it was from here that Russian people left to conquer the Siberian Khanate.
Pyskor is the first Stroganov capital in the Urals. The original name was Kankor. Here the first in Russia casey copper smelting plant was built. The remains of St. Nicholas Church, which was built in 1695, and the Transfiguration Church, which was built in 1782-1808, have survived to this day.
