Description:
The mansion of K.F. Tokareva, also known under the names of "K.F. Tokareva Teremok", or "carved house", is a beautiful monument of civil architecture. Located in the center of Perm, it is of great interest to connoisseurs of architectural works of art and samples of Russian wooden architecture.
Tokareva Mansion is a detached one-storey building in the style of Russian Art Nouveau, built of wood. This is a small house a little more than three meters high, which was built in the late XIX - early XX centuries. Unfortunately, history has not preserved the name of the architect who created this remarkable project. Tokareva’s mansion is an excellent example of such a direction of architecture as the “pseudo-Russian style”, characteristic of that period.
The exterior of the mansion amazes with its pomp - it is richly decorated with carvings, hence one of its names. The color scheme includes three colors: the main part of the building is decorated in green and white, and the foundation and roof in red. This is a very picturesque building, which is definitely worth seeing with your own eyes to get a genuine aesthetic pleasure.
