Description:

The monument to the heroes of the front and rear was opened on the day of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Great Victory (May 9, 1985). The monument represents the unity of all people during the struggle against the fascist invaders, or rather the three components that made the victory a reality. The war, which unites all Soviet soldiers who have gone to the front, looks to the west, towards the enemy, raising its sword high. The worker is oriented to the east, to the rear, and as it were calls all people to accomplish the labor feat. The central figure of the monument is the Motherland, blessing her sons for exploits. The creation of sculptor Vyacheslav Klykov became one of the hallmarks of the city. Flowers and wreaths are placed on the dates of commemoration.
