Monument "Permyak - salty ears"
Description:
The monument "Permyan - salty ears", opened on the Day of laughter in 2006, was recognized as the strangest monument in all of Russia. It is located near the hotel "Ural".
"Permyak - salt ears" is a nickname that became traditional for the residents of the city during the period when salt mining was the main trade in the Ural cities. Due to the dragging on the shoulders of numerous bags of salt, the ears of workers were soaked in it, and then began to grow and blush.
The sculptural composition, authored by sculptor Rustam Ismagilov, is made of bronze and includes the figure of the photographer and a round through frame with huge ears, in which everyone can place their face and for a while become a Permian to be photographed.
