Perm

Plumbing monument

Description:

The monument was opened on September 2, 2006, in the year of the 120th anniversary of the foundation of the Perm water pipeline.

The sculptor is Rustam Ismagilov. The monument has a small legend about the sea shell present in it. A plumber is a simple, poor man. I have worked all my life and never been to the sea. But during his service, he provided the Permians with an entire ocean of water. And in the evening, Petrovich will sit down (this is how the sculptor called his character) after a hard day’s work and, listening to the quiet noise of gutter pipes, turns out to be in distant countries, where he sits on an empty bank and listens to the quiet rustle of waves running to the shore.
