Description:

The Sylva River is the largest tributary of the Chusovaya River. For tourists, Sylva is good for transport accessibility, clean water and the wild beauty of its shores.

Fast and quite full in early summer, just after the snow melts, the river flows among the picturesque steep banks. Beautiful rocks are long, almost vertical, walls made of horizontal layers of slate or limestone. The channel of Sylva is very winding, and along its length the river changes its direction three times. Lots of rolls, shoals and pits. All this together makes it very interesting for water tourism and sports fishing. And fishing here is noble - pike, harius, perch and even trout are found in Sylva. The forests along the banks of the river are rich in berries and mushrooms.

In the lower part of the current, karst phenomena are highly developed, so the shores are dotted with grottoes and caves. The most famous among them is the Kungur Ice Cave. Its length is very solid - 5700 meters. At the same time, only 1500 meters are equipped for visiting. This length of the cave cleared and equipped with special lighting, adding entertainment. In total, there are 48 grottoes in the Kungur cave, about 60 lakes and 146 “organ pipes”, the highest of which in the Ether grotto reaches 22 meters. Especially famous for its beauty the first grotto - Diamond. At the end of winter, it has the most beautiful ice crystals of tray and needle shape.
