Memorial House-Museum named after N.G.Slavyanov

The house-museum of Nikolai Gavrilovich Slavyanov, the inventor of the arc electric welding of metals, is the first memorial museum of a technical profile in Perm.

The museum was opened on 14 September 1988. The exposition is located in the building of the XIX century, built according to the project of N.G. Slavyanov. In the interiors of living rooms on authentic memorial objects the life of a world-famous scientist, talented engineer is represented. Among the unique exhibits are the Slavov “glass”; a sample of welding of eight ferrous and non-ferrous metals, marked in 1893 with a diploma and medal of the World Exhibition in Chicago; the study of N.G. Slavyanov – the place where the ideas of his inventions were born; the smelter.
