About the company:

The Sivin Museum was opened on January 1, 2000. It is located in the central park of Siva, in a building built in 1846.

The peculiarity of the Sivin Museum is that it opened formally, at the time of opening there was not a single exhibit. Over twenty years of work, the museum staff, engaged in collecting and research work on local history, were able to build and open five permanent exhibitions:

  • The Great Patriotic War in the Fates of Our Countrymen
  • Living traditions: the basics of good neighborliness;
  • "Ural Forget-Not";
  • "Nemyl's Living Water";
  • Legends of the Sivin Chugaika.

The collections of the museum contain more than six thousand exhibits. These are objects of archaeology, ethnography, numismatics, documents, rare books, objects of natural science collection. The unique part of the fund includes items of material and spiritual culture of the Old Believers, old printed books of the XVI-XVII centuries, rare coins.

The museum is visited annually by more than 10 thousand people.
