Perm Krai, Yusvinsky district., S. Yusva, str. Soviet, 31

About the company:

In the Komi-Permyatsk Autonomous Okrug, namely in the village of Yusva, on 31 Sovetskaya Street, there is a museum of history and culture of the Yusvin district. It began its history in 1993, the official opening took place on January 13, 1994.

The museum owes its birth to enthusiastic local historian Valentina Milyukhin, the head of the school museum. The announced operation “Search” allowed to organize the collection of exhibits in the surrounding villages. Veterans, teachers and students of the local school became active participants.

It was possible to collect a unique collection of antique household items: various birch bark products, kushaki-patterned belts, traditional Komi-Permian clothes, linen towels with national patterns, samples of hand-made fabrics, an ancient copper samovar.

A variety of tools, including "vartan", a device for manual threshing of sheaves, linen-working items: rolled, flax-bag, thrashing, brushing, comb, hand spinning. The district museum at the beginning of 2020 contains 1651 items of exhibits of the main fund. Among them are household items, tools, archaeological finds, paintings, ancient coins, products of applied creativity of the residents of the area. The museum collection is replenished annually with antiquities.

Today, the museum is the only institution that, like a time machine, can be transported into the past. It is a repository of history, of memory. According to the materials of the museum, students and schoolchildren write research works that are stored in the walls of the museum: “Special settlers of the Yusvinsky district”, “Here is my village: (history of the village of Artamonovo)”, “Shopping houses and temples of the village of Yusva”, “History of the village Pochashor”, “Len”, “Here is named the street of our village: Chechulin M.V.”

We invite everyone to visit our museum!
