Zoological Museum of Perm State University

The Museum of Zoology of Invertebrates of Perm University is one of the oldest and most complete repositories of this profile in the Urals. In October 1916, the Department of Zoology and Comparative Anatomy was organized in the newly opened Perm Department of Petrograd University. Through the efforts of Professor D. M. Fedotov (1888-1972) with the support of assistant D. M. Dyakonov, a zoology office was created at the department, later transformed into a museum of invertebrates. Initially, the exposition served as samples from the funds of the Petrograd Imperial University and the Zoological Museum.
