Tour to Oranienbaum

I invite you to Oranienbaum - the summer country residence of the Most High Prince, the closest associate of Peter the Great - Alexander Danilovich Menshikov.

According to one version, Oranienbaum means “pomeranza tree”, since the all-powerful prince in the greenhouses of the park grew oranges.

The country residence was built by Alexander Danilovich on an unprecedented scale, so that any guest could see luxury and wealth in its unrestrained manifestation.

After the opal of the Holy One, the estate was confiscated to the treasury, later becoming the residence of the Romanov dynasty.

It is important to note: Oranienbaum is the only suburb that was not captured by the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War, so authentic architectural structures and palaces are of great value!
