Excursion to Sergiev Posad to the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra
Description:
The Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra is a unique monument of serf architecture of the 16th-17th centuries, the largest active male monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The icon in the main cathedral became famous for its miracles in the last century. More than 100 healings have been recorded. Here are the relics of St. Barnabas with whom Tsar Nicholas II and his family met in 1905.
Please note:
Pilgrimage excursions are held in the winter period (from November 10 to March 31) daily from 9.30 to 16 hours (the beginning of the excursion no later than 15.30). In the summer period (from April 1 to November 9) - from 9.00 to 18 hours (the beginning of the tour is no later than 17.00).
The road from Moscow to Sergiev Posad takes about 2 hours one way.
