The Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in the Rattle Key

One of the most famous holy springs is located on the territory of Segiyevo-Posad district. This is a cascade of springs, which is called the Rattle Key waterfall (number 4 on the map). According to legend, the source appeared through the prayer of St. Sergius of Radonezh during the journey from the Trinity to Kirzhach. Near the spring there is a large church of St. Sergius of Radonezh, and on the territory of the spring there is a chapel. Both buildings are built in the traditions of wooden architecture of the XVII century according to projects developed by specialists of the Patriarchal Architectural and Restoration Center.
