In the glorious ancient city of Sergiev Posad many different monuments of historical times.
The main attraction is the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra. To this day, it is a male monastery. In the eastern wall of the monastery, a drying tower was built. It is located near the Assumption Gate. The height of the tower is 15 meters, and inside 4 tiers and 50 loopholes.
The top of this design is crowned by an observation tower. Everything has been in good condition to this day. It got its name because of the neighborhood with the building where the grain was drying.
Getting to Sergiev Posad is not difficult. Moscow is only 60 kilometers away. From the Yaroslavl station there are trains. And on the Yaroslavl highway you can get by car or by bus.
