Excursion "Two Palaces + Yalta"

Description:

Alupka Palace and Park Museum-Reserve was established in 1990. The museum-reserve includes the Vorontsov Palace-Museum, the Alupkinsky Park-monument of garden and park art and the Massandra Palace-Museum of Alexander III. On the territory of the museum-reserve there are numerous monuments of cultural heritage, reflecting romantic trends in the palace and park architecture of the first half of the XIX century.

The palace complex of the Vorontsov Palace in Alupka, consisting of five buildings, was built in 1828-1848 according to the project of the English architect Eduard Blore (1789-1879) for the Governor-General of the Novorossiysk Territory Count M.S. Vorontsov (1782-1856). The main halls of the palace, decorated in the style of the traditional English interior, have almost completely preserved their original decoration. The unique originality of the Blue Living Room gives the finest stucco ornament of flowers and leaves. The decoration of the Lobby and the Dining Room resembles the decoration of knightly halls in medieval castles. In the Winter Garden from old plants preserved curly on the walls of ficus repens. The halls exhibit paintings and sculptures of Russian and Western European masters, various objects of decorative and applied art.
From Yalta, the group will move to Livadia, where you will get acquainted with another Crimean architectural masterpiece – the Livadia Palace – the summer residence of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II. The snow-white beautiful palace, built by the famous architect Krasnov in the style of Italian Renaissance palazzos, is a real decoration not only of Yalta, but of the entire South Coast. The architectural ensemble of the Livadia Residence also includes the Palace of the Minister of the Court of Baron Fredericks, the Svitsky Corps and the house church of the Romanov family - the Cross-Elevation Church. The tiny church at the palace is unique in that it was in it that Empress Alexandra Feodorovna was baptized and became Orthodox, and Emperor Nicholas II took an oath of allegiance to the Russian state!

You can enjoy Crimean wines not only in Massandra, but also walking around the Alupkinsky Park and the Vorontsov Palace, pay attention to the tasting complex, where you can taste the wines of the Massandra cellars. The complex is located in the former wine cellars of Count Vorontsov. Winery "Massandra" was founded by Prince Golitsin in 1894.

At the tasting, as a rule, 10 images of characteristic Massandrov wines are presented: dry, cognac-type wines (sherry and Madeira), fortified (Crimean port wines), dessert and liqueur wines (20 g).
