How old are these structures – one hundred, three hundred, six hundred? It is believed that the name "Laki", or "Laka", in Greek and means "pool". There is another version of the origin of this place name. The researcher A. L. Berthier-Delagard believed that it originated in the name of St. Luke.

These places have been inhabited since ancient times. In the area of the village of Laki found traces of two small settlements representing the shape of a cube with equal branches of the cross, three apses and four standing octagonal columns. It is unique not only for its architecture. He is unique in his spirit.

The November sun is reflected from billions of beads and in the gorge immediately becomes lighter. I want to look at such beauty in all eyes. About the time of the formation of the cave monastery of St. Anastasia Uzoresitnitsa in Kachi-Kalion, no accurate information has been preserved. Most clergy believe that this happened around the VI-VIII centuries. For many centuries it was a Christian monastery, but in the twentieth century the monastery compound was liquidated, and only rare curious people looked here. And there was not much to look at – the decision of the authorities here formed a quarry and mined stones. Only thirteen years ago, the skete began to revive again.

The path to recovery was not easy: for water on the mountains had to go with a canister behind his back for a kilometer and a half, to live in dugouts, to lift building materials on a steep rock. With faith and prayer, the monastery began to settle. In the cave of the rock, the monks built a temple in the name of St. Anastasia the Redeemer. The skiton commander himself - hegumen Dorotheus - does not like to talk about himself and his life path, so he sent the monk Isidor to accompany us. He came to the monastery a year after Father Dorotheus, so he knows everything about the monastery.

A quiet, calm, prayerful place. They say that each person has his own, individual place of power, in which he is happy and calm. This place has become so for many.
