Excursion-hike Arpathian waterfalls

A few kilometers from the highway Sudak – Alushta, in Zelenogorye is the tract of Panagia. This is one of the attractions of Crimea, which must be visited.
We continue along a specially trodden path and come to Arpatskop canyon. It is named after the river Arapat, flowing at its bottom. There is no vegetation in the valley. In some places break through to the surface of the bushes, but mainly the surface of the gorge has a rocky character. You need to walk around the canyon carefully.

Going down to the bottom of the gorge, to the river, we will see baths washed with water. The water in them, of course, is not crystal clear (due to minerals washed out by the waterfall), but suitable for swimming. The largest and most beautiful of these baths is the Bath of Love. It is in it that the Arapat waterfall flows. It got its name because of its shape. The bath has the shape of a heart, and it is believed that if you bathe in it, you will not miss the happiness in love.

Swimming in this bath is quite difficult: a column of water falling from the threshold interferes. But there's another lake next to it. There is no excitement from the waterfall, the water is always calm and clean. Most of the summer, the water there is a little cool, but if you dip once, you quickly get used to it.

It is not worth long to linger near the lakes: in front of us waiting for the last waterfall - the largest. The path will lead us to the rock that hangs just above the waterfall. The water here falls from a height of 10 meters and with splashes breaks against stones. You can walk around the waterfall and take pictures near it.

The tour usually ends here and all groups return.

It is best to visit the Panagia tract in spring or autumn. Because in the hot summer, the Arpat River can completely dry out. There will be only a thin stream and a few dirty puddles. If you go there in the spring, you will see the very first green grass grown on the rocks – a very beautiful sight. And if you come here in autumn, you can buy delicious and healthy fruits, such as pear, figs, grapes. They grow in this area, and therefore cost much less than in the city.
