Excursion hike Mountain Boyko
Description:
Strictly speaking, Mount Boyko is a fairly large array of dining elevations with five pronounced peaks. One of them is called Boyko, or Boyka, but it has nothing to do with the name. It comes from the word "poika", as here in the Middle Ages called flat peaks with thick grass, convenient for grazing cattle.
All five peaks are slightly higher than 1 km, that is, quite high. Between them stretches a vast plateau, covered with forest and chair - wild gardens. The plateau is the northern part of the Ai-Petri massif. Part of its slopes overlooks the famous Grand Canyon of Crimea.
The slopes of the unique natural attraction are quite steep, and the relief is bizarre. It is located in the active zone of geological forces, so you need to walk here with caution, since there is a high risk of getting into a crevice or crack. In general, there are not many tourists here.
About this corner tell such legends that it is unclear why the place of permanent residence of Indiana Jones has not yet become Crimea. Mount Boyko is a place quite in his taste. Connoisseurs of paranormal phenomena are sure that the map of the array proves that its five peaks copy the drawing of part of the constellation Orion. Therefore, these are not hills, but man-made structures brought by rocks created by aliens, and from that area of space.
Local residents seriously say that under the ground on the mountain constantly hear sounds, as if from working engines or passing a train, and the railway is a long way away. The aliens have not left their base. Many argue that the water springs originating here, is able to preserve youth. Allegedly, these waters fill the famous Bath of Youth.
Another tale claims that in the Middle Ages, neither more nor less, the Holy Grail came here. Residents of the principality of Feodoro hid the relic from enemies in a mountain cave. There were many attempts to find her, but nothing happened. Participants in the search mysteriously disappeared, massaging savagely Crimean with them there were accidents or they went crazy. A similar story is associated even with the name of the most famous in the Crimea archaeologist O.I. Dombrovskiy, whose employees allegedly also became victims of the mountain.
There’s also a story that seems to have been written off from one of Dr. Jones’ adventures. As if Hitler (he was really interested in mysticism and took it seriously) sent here to search for the Grail of the staff of his special unit "Ahnenerbe". None of them returned to the Reich.
Almost our contemporaries with full conviction say that they saw how some unidentified and incomprehensible flying object was let directly into the mountain slope. And the fact is that in many places on the slopes of Mount Boyko, any sound sounds louder than in other places. However, here the explanation is quite realistic - it lies in the features of the terrain.
