Sightseeing tour of Sevastopol

Sevastopol in Greek is a magnificent city. Founded in 1783, however, settlements arose here more than 25 centuries ago. In the fifth century BC, the Greeks built their colony here. The Romans were here too. Prince Vladimir was baptized in Chersonesos and from there the Christian faith spread throughout Russia.
The history of the city after the annexation of Crimea to Russia is the history of the emergence and formation of the Black Sea Fleet. Since 1804, Sevastopol became the base of the Black Sea Fleet.
The city withstood two defenses: the first (1854-1856) - in the Crimean War, lasted 369 days, the second (1941-1942) - in the Great Patriotic War, lasted 250 days.
There are more than 1500 monuments of archaeology of history and culture in the city and we will visit some of them during our excursion.
We will start with the reserve Chersonese Tauride, get acquainted with the history and culture of this city of the polis that existed for more than 1500 years. Then we will move to the embankment of Sevastopol in Art. Bay, walk and see the main historical monuments that are located here. Then, at your request, we will visit the Panorama Museum of Sevastopol.
