Underground Palaces of Crimea

Chatyr-Dag Mountain is one of the massifs of the central part of the Main Range of the Crimean Mountains.

It is here that the famous caves of Marmara and Emine Bair Khosar are located, which are rightfully considered landscape monuments.

Excursion route: Sevastopol - village of Marmara. - Chatyr Dag-Sevastopol.

What awaits the tourist on this excursion route:

• We leave Nakhimov Square at 8:00. Marmara is about two hours away, so there will be sanitary stops on the way. We're on the Simferopol highway. To the lower plateau of Chatyr-Dag mountain more than 100 km (on the way about 2 hours).
• Marble Cave. Due to the richness of natural decoration, it is one of the five most famous caves in the world. Visitors are greeted by huge halls and extensive galleries decorated with openwork calcite flows with bizarre forms and rare types of crystals. Perfectly landscaped, it attracts a lot of tourists, being the most visited on the peninsula. In five galleries, you can admire up close an innumerable number of amazing stalactites and stalagmites, bizarre water formations resembling stone flowers. It is advisable to take the full route, which begins in the fairy tale gallery, the difference in price is small, but the most interesting grotto - Tiger - is at the end (1 hour).
• Emine-Bair-Khosar Cave is also beautiful. It is distinguished by a variety of calcite, colored in different colors formations, striking splendor and beauty. During the tour you will go 120 meters deep into the cave, see the underground lake, galleries. Halls and cave grottoes, and even the skeleton of a mammoth and other prehistoric animals found in the cave. The main route is about 700 meters and takes about an hour and a half. You have the opportunity to see with your own eyes the most beautiful cave in Europe, according to speleologists. (1hr 20m)
• We dine in a cafe on the descent from Chatyr-Dag mountain.
• Return to the city about 19 hours.

Advice to the visitor:

1. Arrive 15 minutes before the start of the tour.
2. Register at the collection point and get the bus number on your itinerary.
3. The cost of the excursion ticket does not include the cost of entrance tickets.
4. On all routes have comfortable shoes, in the summer headgear;
5. To visit the caves you need to have warm clothes (at the entrance to the cave you can rent a jacket) and closed shoes - in the cave low temperature and high humidity.

The total duration of the tour is 10 hours. Discount for preferential categories of citizens is valid for entrance tickets upon presentation of the relevant certificate.
