Saki - pink lakes

Lake Saka is a healing reservoir, a kind of “laboratory”, in which Mother Nature herself prepares an amazing effect of substances that can cure a person from many ailments. From west to east, five kilometers of space is occupied by this beautiful miraculous lake, its width is about three kilometers.

Despite the relatively small area of the Saka salt lake on the scale of the world ocean, scientists pay it no less attention than such famous reservoirs as the largest lake in the world Baikal, a huge freshwater lake Ladoga or the notorious Great Lakes of North America.

The largest salt lake in the Crimea, Sasyk-Sivash, is located east of Yevpatoria. Once on this place was a shallow Black Sea bay, but as a result of winter storms and winds carrying tons of sand, over time, a sandy patch formed here, which separated Lake Sasyk-Sivash from the Black Sea.

The area of Lake Sasyk-Sivash is 71 square km, an average depth of 0.7 meters, and a maximum of 1.2 meters. According to the most unconfirmed data, the reserves of brine in Sivash reach 2 billion cubic meters, inside them contains 190 million tons of all kinds of salts. The unique Sivash brine is a complex complex of salts. The value of sea salt is determined by its high content of trace elements present in sea water, such as salts of magnesium, calcium, potassium, iodine, chlorine, manganese, copper, bromine, sulfur, zinc, sodium, beta-carotene.
