Billboards with sights of Smolensk decorated the highway Moscow-Minsk

When I saw one of these three billboards telling about the tourist potential of our city, on the border of Smolensk, I was amazed, stunned and discouraged.

“Is this really happening, is it real?” I thought and rubbed my eyes. The billboard was still in place. Is it possible that now thousands of people passing through the “Minka” daily will begin to think that they need to turn off the road to visit Smolensk?

It is clear that it will not be immediately, but I know people who have traveled to Belarus for decades before trying to stop in Smolensk, just because on the track, I did not catch my eye for anything. Now the first step has been taken.

The degree of expectation is comparable... I don’t even know what, the launch of the first satellite of the Earth – may be too emotional, but very long-awaited. As far as I understand, this idea was voiced a long time ago almost twenty years ago by Irina Leonidovna Smirnova from the travel agency “on 7 hills”. And now implementation has arrived. It's inspiring.

I don’t know if I’ve listed them all, but I love them all.

P.S. However, the question of why a billboard with an invitation to look at the longest fortress in Russia for some reason stands after all the entrances to Smolensk, I would even say on the road from Smolensk, remains open. But even that can't embarrass my jubilation.
