Excursion to the icon painting workshop

This tour is different from all others, here you will immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the icon painting workshop, in a real “spiritual creative laboratory”. You will see how icon painters live and work, in what atmosphere they work.
The tour takes place directly in the workshop - in the building of Nikolka Church, which is located literally 200 meters from the Suzdal Kremlin. The tour is conducted by the rector of the temple or his wife. They will tell you how icons are created, what techniques and rules for writing icons exist. During the tour, the stages of work on the icon are demonstrated: preparing a wooden board, rubbing paints, gilding, showing various ready-made icons.
Also, the tour participants have the opportunity to visit the gallery of finished works and, if desired, buy a favorite icon. Or order for yourself or your loved ones to write an individual icon with the saints depicted on it.
