A sightseeing tour of the city includes walks through the quiet streets of the Kremlin and Posad, a visit to the Pokrovsky Women’s Monastery (the place of exile of disgraced royal wives and princely daughters), a review of the most beautiful panoramas of the city and acquaintance with the history of distant Suzdal Rus, from the heroic times of the rise of the city under Prince Yuri Dolgoruk to the quiet and commercially cozy Suzdal of the XIX century, which descended from the train of the industrial revolution and therefore retained its original unique appearance. That Russia, about which the writer Vladimir Soloukhin said: "This was the root of Russia." I will tell you not only about the significant milestones of the 1000-year-old Suzdal, in whose life, like a mirror, the history of the country was reflected, but also about the people of the city, famous and not so, their life and customs, labors and charity. Ancient monasteries and urban settlements will tell a lot about the gray antiquity and modern life of the Suzdal people. Together we will try to imbue with the spirit of the former metropolitan grandeur and the charm of modern provincial silence.
