In Vladimir-Suzdal land a dozen objects included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Among them are preserved from pre-Mongolian times white stone buildings. If desired, you can trace the entire path of development of this architectural direction. From the first, Kidekshan church, built by Yuri Dolgoruky in 1152, to the last, in Yuriev-Polish, consecrated three years before the Batyev invasion.
The famous Intercession-on-Nerli is only one of them, although the most famous. Nine of the twenty-four built have survived. And not immediately appeared white-stone carving, eventually covering the next temple from the head to the basement.
